Report on Commercialisation of Cassava Seed System

CHAIN Uganda, in partnership with NARO/NaCRRI, was implementing the Commercialisation of Cassava Seed Systems project in the districts of Arua, Kabarole/Kamwenge, and Mukono. The objectives of the project were to enhance the production of cassava pre-basic and basic seed; operationalise quality assurance in the production and distribution of cassava planting materials; commercialise the production of certified cassava planting materials; determine the economic viability of the cassava seed system; and assess the rate and magnitude of degeneration of cassava due to virus infection.
