CHAIN Uganda Hands Over Tools to Support Community Action Plans in Buyende District.
CHAIN Uganda, under the INCLUDE Project, supported communities in Buyende District with Agricultural tools and vegetable seeds to help them implement activities identified in their community Action plans.
Over the two-day distribution exercise on 15th and 16th September 2026, communities in Immeri and Kyagundu in Nkondo Sub County; Bumogoli and Mulali in Kagulu Sub County; Busambila and Nabukalu in Buyende Town Council; and Buwaza in Bugaya Sub County received the support.
The Agricultural tools included hoes, pickaxes, fork hoes, rakes, spades, pangas, slashers, and wheelbarrows, alongside vegetable seeds such as eggplant, spider plant, sukuma, amaranthus, and onions, among others. The distribution was led by CHAIN Uganda Executive Director, Dr. Apollo Kasharu, accompanied by Operations Directors Dr. Charles Musoke and Dr. Charles Lwanga Kasozi.

The distribution was witnessed by SNV Busoga Regional Coordinator, Mr. Aggrey Ntakimanye.
The team was joined by Buyende District LC5 Chairman, Mr. Shariff Mangaraine, together with a delegation of District Executive Secretaries. The LC5 Chairman appreciated the SNV–CHAIN Uganda partnership in supporting agricultural transformation in Buyende and encouraged community members to make good use of the knowledge and tools provided.
The support is part of the Community PIP process, through which communities identify their shared priorities, develop action plans and work together to turn their vision into practical action.
Through the INCLUDE Project, CHAIN Uganda continues to support communities in Buyende to move from planning to action for improved livelihoods and sustainable community development.
